In October of 2000 we picked up Star at Scobeck Cattery. On that trip we met Justice who was a young "stud" with a regal attitude. One look and we said to Becky, "When you get ready to retire HIM, we want first option." The following July (2001) he joined our family. The one condition of his remaining with us was that Star would accept him into the household.
After a carefully orchesrated introduction period, it became apparent that Star would live with another cat in the family and we became a two-cat family. We have never regreted that decision. Each of them developed (or should we say refined) distinctive personalities, both loveable and playful, but each individual. The following pictures update their activities and acclimations to family life in Southeastern Connecticut.

Justice quickly found places in the sun which he though best showed off his good looks. His thoughts, always transparent, show up in this; one of is favorite pictures |

Alas, he often grew weary of the endless photographic sessions, knowing that most of the world didn't deserve to see a cat this good looking. Thus his attitude stated in this picture. |

Star, not to be outdone, wanted a few nude shots to submit for the centerfold in "PLAYCAT" magazine. Here, on a tri-color flokoti (a rug from Greece) she tries to emulate Marilyn Monroe. I think she carries this off quite well. |

"Yes, I'm ready for my closeup" says our glamor cat, showing Justice that he isn't the only one that the camera loves. This is Star's favorite shot. |

An afternoon of rest. Star, in the superior position, gets a few glances from Justice who is probably up to no good. Often a quick bat from him preceeds his hurried departure from the scene. |

Star pre-empts, giving Justice a little tap just to let him know that she is still the "top cat" in this home. Justice meekly agrees. |

Later, they pose in the sun's rays on the dining room table. Are they seeking yet another venue for glamor shots. I think so. |

All's well that ends well. They snuggle together in our bedroom in a bed nestled behind a chair (on which hangs a red sweater). Never any lack of warmth when these two get together. Goodnight children. |
